CASE STUDY

MCC & Lords - Young Female Broadcaster

As part of our ongoing partnership supporting Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) and Lord’s, Run was tasked with positioning Lord’s as an inclusive, modern, and welcoming "home of all cricket". A key objective was using MCC’s influence to address the under-representation of women in sports media by creating a career springboard for aspiring female sports broadcasters.

Activity

  • Brokering Industry Partnerships: Created and managed the MCC Young Female Broadcaster competition, establishing strategic partnerships with Sky Sports and Take Her Lead to provide real industry pathways.

  • Multi-Stage Campaign Delivery: Managed three core campaign moments annually (launch, winner announcement, and winners’ day), driving sustained coverage across broadcast, print, digital, and social channels.

  • High-Profile Flagship Moments: Announced the winner live on Sky Sports during Day Two of the historic first-ever Women’s Test Match at Lord’s, followed by live on-air roles at The Hundred Final, Sky Studios, and BBC Test Match Special.

  • Mentorship & Stakeholder Engagement: Hosted a runners-up experience day at Lord’s, offering access to the Pavilion and Media Centre alongside mentoring from Isa Guha and leading industry executives.
  •
