  • Steve Chisholm
    Managing Director

    Steve is a strategic communications professional with over 25 years’ experience working for major clients and media organisations. He is one of the best-connected individuals working in sport and the media today. Steve leads Run Communications, an agency of talented practitioners that seeks to present innovative and collaborative solutions to brands, sport and the media. After a 10 year broadcasting career with the BBC, Steve spent the next decade helping to build one of the major sports marketing businesses in the UK. Steve launched Run in September 2012.

    Marketing & Operations Director

    Sara has 15 years’ experience planning and implementing high profile integrated marketing, sponsorship and public relations campaigns in the sport and consumer sectors. With both brand and agency experience — EDF Energy, Fast Track & the London 2012 Olympic Bid — Sara enjoys planning and executing innovative and differentiated projects that deliver real results.

  • Jess Arnold
    Associate Director

    Jess is a senior PR & Communications specialist with over 15 years’ experience working both brand and agency-side for a number of leading consumer & third sector organisations, including Jaguar Land Rover, Help for Heroes & McDonald’s.

    Jess has significant consumer brand & community sport experience and is passionate about demonstrating the true power of sport. Her passion for parasport in particular has led her to work at major sporting events, such as the Sochi 2014 Winter Paralympic Games, Rio 2016 Paralympic Games & multiple Invictus Games. Most recently, she led our work delivering a programme of UK based media activity for The National Lottery, UK Sport, British Olympic Association & British Paralympic Association during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic & Paralympic Games.

  • Sophie Hayward
    Account Director

    Sophie is an experienced communications professional with a genuine passion for the positive impact that sport and activity can have on physical and mental wellbeing. She is a dynamic account lead who creates and delivers activity to drive brand awareness and influence audiences.

    Sophie holds strong relationships with leading journalists and media brands and is an excellent communicator who will always go above and beyond to deliver outstanding results.

    She recently led Run’s work with The National Lottery on the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 and spearheaded the team at the World Gymnastics Championships Liverpool 2022. She also has a leading role in a number of Run’s other key accounts.

    Head of Digital Content

    With more than five years industry experience, Ben has worked in a variety of different environments to create bespoke content for digital platforms. Specialising in video production and social media management, Ben also has first-hand experience in graphic design, photography, copy writing and account management.

    Having previously worked with Southampton Football Club and Sussex Police, Ben has an excellent track record of producing outstanding content in fast-paced and demanding environments.

    Senior Account Manager

    Joel has nearly 20 years’ agency and in-house experience in sports marketing and public affairs. He has specific expertise in national and regional media relations and political and stakeholder engagement and has a particular interest in community sport and the sport for development sector.

    He has worked for clients including Brighton & Hove Albion FC, The Belfry, Leyton Orient Trust and London United – a collaborative partnership of the community trusts of London’s 15 professional football clubs.

    Account Manager

    Charlie is a recent graduate from the University of Manchester, with diverse experience in sports journalism and written content production. Jointly producing a football analytics podcast and blog while at university, and always developing new ideas, he is passionate about the capacity of sport to change lives and inspire positivity.

    Charlie loves actively engaging with people through sport, and is able to express PR demands in a creative way to maximise outreach and leave a lasting impact. At Run, Charlie is working to build his career around developing effective and engaging marketing content.

    Account Manager

    Jake is an experienced sports communications professional with an active interest in a wide range of sports and thrives on raising awareness for sports in an engaging, informative, and creative way.

    Jake has an array of experience having led on campaigns in England, Ireland, Saudi Arabia, and Hong Kong. He has a particular passion for highlighting the unique benefits of sport and understands the importance of engaging and welcoming new audiences. When not delivering exciting communications strategy’s at Run he can be found trying (and probably failing) to lower his golf handicap!)

    Content Executive

    With experience across a wide range of mediums, Brad is a digital creative with a passion for telling stories through content creation. Specialising in video production, photography and graphic design, Brad also has experience in social media management after running various social channels / accounts for clients.

    Having previously worked in the music industry, Brad brings a creative and passionate flare to all his work regardless of the environment or project at hand.

    Account Executive

    Tom recently graduated from News Associates’ School of Journalism and has experience across a number of storytelling mediums. He is also a keen football fan and can be found most Saturdays watching his team, AFC Wimbledon, whilst also hosting a live show for the club. New to the industry but keen to learn and inspire more to lead healthier, active lives.

    Tom has a background in journalism, across print, online and broadcast and loves interacting with people through his passion for sports. At Run, Tom is getting to grips with the industry and working hard to create effective and meaningful campaigns alongside the team.

  • Kelly Simmons OBE
    Consultant

    Former FA Director of the Women’s Game, who in 30 years with The FA has transformed women and girl’s football in this country, including launching the first ever fully professional Women’s Super League in 2018.

    Kelly, who received an OBE in 2021 for her services to women’s football, is passionate about growing women’s sport in general and will use all of her experience to help Run develop more projects in women and girls’ football and in particular look to harness the wider impact of its growth at grassroots and community level.
